Natus Gold Standard Verification, with Anna Ly

​

  • Anna will describe the ‘What, Why and How’ of hearing aid verification and test box measurements as part of the 'best practice' for optimal outcomes for your clients’ hearing aid fittings.

​

  • You will learn the hardware and software required to achieve these objective measurements, and understand how you can use them for HSP compliance.​​

Anna Ly Natus

Anna is International Clinical Applications Specialist ANZ & DP APAC for Natus.

 

She completed her Master of Clinical Audiology at The University of Melbourne in 2009 and is a full member of Audiology Australia. She had over fourteen years of clinical audiology experience in Australia and New Zealand before joining Natus in 2023.

 

Anna is responsible for providing clinical, audiological and vestibular training and support to customers across Australia and New Zealand.

CounselEar / Xero, with Daniel Fechner and Joanne Brooker

  • Daniel and Joanne will provide valuable insights for businesses considering adopting CounselEar, the key factors to consider before implementation, and how to set up the Xero accounting platform for seamless integration with CounselEar.

​

  • During a pre-seminar CounselEar Survey, you have the opportunity to ask questions, and enhance your understanding of the software. For current users, you will learn strategies to maximise your CounselEar for optimum business operations.​

Daniel Fechner Ear Studio

Daniel is an Audiometrist, and the founder and Director of his independent practice, Ear Studio.

He is a Guest Speaker for two sessions on our Saturday Agenda, and also a member of our Saturday Hearing Industry Panel. Biography.

Joanne Brooker Pengwen Bookkeeping

Joanne is the Director of Pengwen Bookkeeping which she founded seventeen years ago, and which specialises in providing bespoke bookkeeping solutions for audiology practices.

 

With a passion for software setup and smooth integration, she has extensive experience with industry-specific applications such as CounselEar and Xero. She also provides financial management services, to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, so her clients can focus on building their businesses.

 

Joanne has a Diploma in Accounting, a Higher Diploma of Mechanical Engineering, and is qualified as a Fitter and Turner with Rolls Royce. She has many years’ experience in multiple industries, and with diverse software programs, and in purchasing and supply chain logistics, supply contracts, employee KPIs and reviews, and WHS (NSW). Joanne is a certified MYOB and Service M8 partner, a BAS Agent, Tax Practitioner Board, and a certified Gold Xero partner.

VorOtek Wax Management, with Charles Vorrath & Chris Harris

  • Charles and Chris will equip you with all you need to know about setting up and maintaining the VorOtek O-Scope and associated tools, and how to perform wax removal under direct vision.

​

  • You will learn how to build proficiency in advanced wax management techniques, with their practical tips to assess clients, recognise cautionary cases, apply effective removal skills, and improve clients' depth perception.

Charles Vorath VorOtek

Charles is a business leader with over three decades of experience in B2B marketing and leadership roles across diverse industries. He is currently Director at VorOtek Pty Ltd, an Australian medical device company specializing in the design, manufacture, and distribution of medical devices with precision optics and fully integrated LED illumination.

 

Before joining VorOtek, Charles was the Marketing Director at Tetra Pak Oceania. He began his career at Unilever as a Product Manager, honing his expertise in business-to-business operations.

 

Charles holds an MBA, Melbourne Business School, a Graduate Diploma in Marketing, Monash University, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering, Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology.

Chris Harris Clear Ears

Chris has over twenty-five years of experience in the health sector with roles in gerontology, paediatrics, acute care, education, and perioperative nursing. He has worked clinically, both nationally and internationally, in acute health and volunteering in Aid missions.

 

Chris holds a Bachelor of Nursing, Deakin University, a Graduate Certificate of Perioperative Nursing, Royal College of Nursing, Sydney, and has completed the course in Aural Care, The University of Melbourne.


A senior Clinical Nurse Specialist in Wax Management at Clear Ears, Chris has over ten years of clinical experience. He specialises in paediatric and complex adult patients, and also provides clinical support for VorOtek for their introduction to wax management workshops nationally.
